Magic Micro-moment: Recognition

“For the first time in a long time, I felt like my presence meant something.”


These are the words of a participant in a recent workshop. Frustrated, feeling powerless, and invisible, she had resigned from her company. In the process of doing her exit paperwork, the HR representative took some time to share with her how she had personally impacted him. In a world where we are focused on Key Performance Indicators and outcomes, it’s easy to forget people. Organizational culture and Employee engagement can seem wooly and hard to influence, but the magic happens in the spaces between people.
